Welcome to Nine Mile Baptist Association website! We are a group of churches who share some common geography and biblical distinctives. We presently have forty-two churches scattered throughout four counties in Southern Illinois: Jackson, Perry, Randolph, and Washington.
Associations have been in existence for over 300 years. This association was founded in 1845. It was named 'Nine Mile' because it was first formed during a meeting which took place at Nine Mile Baptist Church just outside Pinckneyville, Illinois. The idea of 'Nine Mile' originally came because of the distance from one prarie to another which was approximately nine miles.
